About
My Background
I’m a journalist-in-training and writer based in Germany, currently completing my editorial traineeship at FUNKE Media Group for the daily newspaper Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ).
Before stepping into journalism, I worked in social media and content marketing, and also served as a judicial clerk at the District Court of Heidelberg. Across each role, one thread remained constant: a love for language and a deep belief in the power of story.
I hold a BA in International Relations from Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, where I also served as editor-in-chief of the student magazine. Today, I’m drawn to human-centered reporting, including features, reported portraits, and narrative journalism that explores how people live, what shapes them, and how they navigate systems of power, crisis, and change.
Through journalism, I’ve learned how to listen. Through writing, I’ve learned how to feel.
My work lives at the intersection of both.
When I’m not on assignment or in the newsroom, I’m working on my first book, a spy thriller that explores identity, resilience, and survival.
My goal is always the same:
✨ To document complexity with empathy.
✨ To create space for the stories that often go unsaid.
✨ To remind us we’re never really alone in what we feel.

Your eyes tell stories. I can see them in the nostalgic glimmer of moments far away. Carry me into a world so foreign and similar to mine.
